News about the Third Edition of the Roman Missal
The exact date that the Holy See will provide recognitio for the revised translation of the Roman Missal remains unknown. However, it is known that Vox Clara, the advisory group to the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments (CDWDS), will meet in late April. It also is known that the CDWDS has the texts from the Bishops’ Conferences, including all of the requested adaptations.

Some think that it is possible that recognitio could come sometime between the end of April and the summer, but as of now there is no definitive date.

The conventional wisdom is projecting the implementation date will be the First Sunday of Advent 2011.
