News about the Third Edition of the Roman Missal

The USCCB has posted to their Web site the revised texts of the Order of Mass.  These texts may be only used for study and catechetical purposes.  These texts may not be used liturgically until November 27, 2011, the First Sunday of Advent. You may also review a chart comparison of the current Sacramentary and the revised texts on this Web site.

Thank you for providing this opportunity to review Order of Mass. In order to begin original composition, it is very necessary to be able to look at the new translation. The information I have found to this point has been very good. I was wondering how the Agnus Dei has changed, have not found it on several links to this point. Thank you very much.

Under the 3rd revision will the people still offer the sign of peace to other members during the Mass?

Will the reader (Lector) continue to process in with the Book of Gospels if there is no Deacon at that Mass? Thank you. Jim

Age has it's benefits. I was reading through an old Mass book, prior to Vatican II, and discovered some of the text translated into English was the same as the "new" translation for the Third Edition Mass.
"And with your Spirit" was the response use then. The shock of the "new" text will only be felt by younger generations, but will take some getting used to, even by we elders who prayed it when we were young. Peace to you all.
