The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship and the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions, in consultation with the National Organization for Continuing Education of Roman Catholic Clergy (NOCERCC) and the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM), are offering a training workshop for diocesan leaders and priests (or in parishes without a priest, the Parish Life Coordinator appointed by the Bishop) and on the implementation of the third edition of the Roman Missal.

The program will provide the broad context in which the new translation of the Roman Missal will be implemented. Attendees will learn about the historical and theological context of the new Missal and will examine some of the new translations to deepen understanding of their depth and richness. To help attendees prepare for implementation, the program will highlight the important role of the priest celebrant in both proclaiming and singing the new texts. Speakers will discuss change, and especially adjusting to change, with regard to both priests and lay people. Resources and suggested strategies for implementation of the Missal will be provided as well.

Event will be held:
El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel
110 Lexington Avenue
San Antonio, TX 78205
